Dr. Matthew Stump is a native of Charleston, WV, and a highly skilled dentist specializing in comprehensive, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry after studying biology at West Virginia University. Following dental school, Dr. Stump completed the Periodontal and Dental Implant Preceptorship Residency Program at West Virginia University, finishing in May 2012 before entering private practice in Charleston.
Dr. Stump is an expert in dental implants and was awarded the prestigious Diplomate Status by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), the highest honor given by the organization. Dr. Stump is the first practitioner in the state of West Virginia to attain this prestigious status.
Committed to advancing dental education, Dr. Stump serves as a clinical assistant professor at West Virginia University. He maintains active memberships in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, International Team for Implantology (ITI), American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, West Virginia Dental Association, and the Kanawha Valley Dental Association.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Stump enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, and traveling domestically and internationally.
